Joe Carter jr.
Staff Instructor
Joe’s passion is coaching Golf. His philosophy is that no matter what level of golf you are, “having fun should be the number one priority while learning and playing“. By getting the student to be more aware of what he or she is doing and why, will help any level player get that much closer to their goals. A strong base of fundamentals (grip, posture and alignment) is the process which can and will lead to desirable outcomes.
Joe grew up in Bloomfield New Jersey as a two sport star in basketball and baseball. He was a first team all-state selection in 1988 and is a member of both the Bloomfield Athletic Hall of Fame and his college alma mater, William Paterson University. Joe was a two-time All-American while at William Paterson and a key member of the 1992 National Championship baseball team. He earned his B.A. in Special Education and Psychology. Upon graduating in 1992, Joe quickly became a coach in both baseball and softball and fell in love with helping others. Joe is a TPI level 2 instructor in golf training and and golf fitness. His enthusiasm toward coaching any student, sport, and helping others, makes for a perfect opportunity to further his career as a PGA professional. Joe is currently a Jersey City fire captain and has 17 years of service for the Jersey City Fire Department. He is married, a father of two and resides in Manasquan, NJ. “The best gift is the gift of giving.” |
kevin Maciorowski
STAFF INSTRUCTOR
As a golf professional, it is my responsibility to help students enjoy the game of golf to its fullest. An effective teacher must be able to help students achieve fundamentally sound techniques through knowledge, drills, practice, and an understanding of their own physical abilities. I believe in the importance of teaching by improving motor skills using methods customized to each student’s ability.
My goal during the lesson is to develop an open relationship to ensure that all questions are answered and keep a positive attitude. I make sure the student walks away with some confidence and a goal while practicing in the future to keep a very difficult game FUN! Kevin started in the golf business as an Assistant Professional at Suburban GC with stops at Navesink CC and Spring Lake GC before accepting the Director of Golf position at Westlake G&CC in Jackson. He earned his PGA membership in 1998 and has competed regularly in New Jersey professional events with many top finishes including qualifying for two PGA National Championships. Kevin is a graduate of William Paterson College and currently resides in Neptune City with his wife and 2 children. |
